Many Eastern Connecticut State University students participate in Eastern's clubs during the academic year. The student club programs range from social to educational, physical to spiritual, and civic engagement programs that benefit and enrich the Eastern community.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

More than 150 Lebanon Valley student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Select students have been named to the Spring 2016 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2015-16 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Lebanon Valley College has announced its Dean's List recipients for the fall 2015 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

Nearly 600 students received bachelor degrees from St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies held on May 22 in Canton, New York.

Assumption College has announced that 561 students named to the College's undergraduate Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced twice every academic year, once at the completion of the fall semester, and again at the completion of the spring semester. "The Dean's List is a recognition of students who have attained significant academic achievements," said Assumption College President Francesco Cesareo, Ph.D. "The College is proud to formally recognize its top scholars whose dedication, hard work and commitment to their studies, are forming them to become effective leaders whom others will seek to emulate.

Lasell College announces recent graduates at its May 2016 commencement exercises.

More than 12,000 family members and friends filled the XL Center in Hartford on Tuesday, May 17, to cheer on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,221 undergraduates and 25 graduate students received their diplomas at Eastern Connecticut State University's 126th Commencement exercises.

Student musicians at Eastern Connecticut State University performed in the Performing Arts Department's academic year-end concert in the Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC) on May 1.

The following local residents have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

More than 250 talented students at Eastern Connecticut State University presented research and creative work at the university's second annual CREATE conference this past April. CREATE stands for Celebrating Research Excellence and Artistic Talent at Eastern, and is the university's premier, academic year-end showcase. At the culminating event, students of all majors presented professional posters, live music, dance performances, artwork, photography, documentaries and panel discussions.

Eastern students were presented with awards during the annual accounting banquet.

Lambda Epsilon Sigma is Stonehill College's Honor Society. The purpose of the Society is to recognize and promote scholarship. Juniors and seniors who have attained a 3.50 cumulative grade point average are invited to apply for consideration. Additionally, in order to be inducted into the Society, the student must be recommended by faculty from both within and outside of the student's major.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.

Earlier in the spring semester, the Music Program at Eastern Connecticut State University presented the first concert held in Eastern's new state-of-the-art Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC). The concert, comprised of Eastern students, faculty, alumni, staff and local community members was one of the first to combine nearly every vocal and instrumental ensemble, making it a truly collaborative performance.
